February can be a bit of a drag—cold, dark, and frankly, kind of dull. But every year, Copenhagen Light Festival swoops in, turning the city into a glowing, magical wonderland. I’ve been capturing its brilliance for several years now, and it never fails to make for a fantastic evening stroll.
This year, I got lucky—the weather was actually decent (no freezing toes, hooray!). While I have to admit, I was slightly more in love with previous years’ installations, the 10km walk was still a feast for the eyes. And guess what? I didn’t even manage to see everything! Looks like another nighttime adventure is in order.
Pro tip: Want to avoid the crowds? Hit the festival midweek—weekends tend to be packed. You’ve got until February 23rd to soak it all in, so grab your warmest coat and head out!
