It’s Halloween season! And that means a lot of decorations, pumpkins and lights all around Copenhagen! And the best place to experience the spirit of Halloween are Tivoli gardens. If you never visited Tivoli, you should and what season can be better than now?
Tivoli gardens
Tivoli is many things, but first of all, it is an amusement park. It is quite old, as it has been founded in 1843. The gardens in the name come from the fact that the whole area is a really nice place for a stroll and relaxation. As Tivoli is located in the center of Copenhagen, it did not have much space to expand to. Therefore, what it focuses on, is the atmosphere. And the atmosphere is just awesome. This is proved by the fact that Tivoli is world’s most – visited seasonal theme park!
There are many restaurants and little shops around. Tivoli has also a lot of activities to offer: during summer you can experience open-air concerts, and throughout the year see some plays, musicals. Every night the park lights up with lights and everyday there is a light show on the lake where fire, light and water elements are used to complement amazing music.

Halloween
Everyday between 14 October and 6 November 2016 you can experience the amazing atmosphere of Halloween. It is one of those events that makes it totally worth the visit. Just for those couple of days, the whole garden is decorated with 20.000 pumpkins, bales of straw, spiders, spider webs, scarecrows and lights! The park looks great, both day and night, but if you want to be amazed, go visit it in the evening when the whole place lights up!
While walking around take a peak into many of Halloween market stalls, where you can buy some Halloween gadgets, eat and drink some tasty things (those almonds were just perfect!).
